Welcome To Marks Models

Welcome

Welcome to Mark's Models Website. Please take some time to browse through the website and hopefully purchase some products  and also give you some 'food for thought' for the future.

What does Mark's Models do?

Mark's Models is a model making business specialising in plastic kits of all scales and genre. We also build layouts in both 'N' and 'OO' gauge as well as building railway buildings in both these scales and also in plastic kits and scratchbuilt using 'plastic building card'

We don't just build models and layouts but we also rennovate models and also offer a painting service so if you want to build the model but isn't the best in painting the model then we are only too happy to paint the model for you, it doesn't matter what it is or what scale.

Commissions

The commissions is the core business of Mark's Models. We have an online catalogue of the models we build. If you would like a model built then please choose the model you would like built along with any specific requests and we will build it for you.

Should you wish to have any specific requests such as colour scheme or markings then please let me know either on the online catalogue or emailing me with your requests and I will do my utmost to fulfill your requrements.

If you would like a layout built then please contact us by email with your requirements and the space you have available. My layout designer will then make a few designs for you to look at and when you have chosen the design you would like then we will build it for you.

Projects

Not only do we build models for individual customers but we also build models for business and Museums as well. We have built models of the Canberra PR9 that has been fully restored to flying condition based at Kemble airfield for a Marketing Agency in Guildford as well as building models for a Gala dinner in Birmingham where the models were the centre pieces on each table. We also do wedding table decorations as well.

Some of the models we have built have been on the BBC with 'James May Toy Story' on the original record attempt of running a 'OO' gauge train from Barnstaple to Bideford.

Timescale

It takes longer than you think to build a model. If you would like a model built by a certain time that is fine but we do give a minimum of 8 weeks to allow the building of the model and any unforseen problems that may occur and if we need to source or make transfers for the model.

Retail

We do have an online shop where we sell railway items, plastic kits and accessories. These are always updated with more stock added.
